Bridgewell is a recognised local area in Hearth. Bridgewell Council has not yet commenced. Recognition of the local area does not itself start the council or transfer responsibility for existing services.
Bridgewell as a local area
Havenstead’s local government geography is organised as Havenstead, sphere, local area and ward. Bridgewell is a recognised local area within the Hearth sphere. The local area exists independently of whether Bridgewell Council has commenced operations.
Bridgewell Council
Bridgewell Council is the principal council for the Bridgewell local area. It remains uncommenced and is not currently exercising ordinary council service-delivery functions.
Existing services
Public services do not transfer to Bridgewell Council merely because the council and local area are recognised. Until the council commences and responsibility is lawfully transferred, use the authority or public body that currently provides the service you need.
